Health & Safety Notes
Felitrot is here to help you enjoy your walks at your own pace, side by side with Chopin. So that your time out walking feels even better, we'd like to gently share five small things before you begin. Each one is a little request meant to keep you, and the people around you, comfortable and safe.
1. Check in with your body before you set out
How you're feeling on any given day is your best guide. If you're living with a health condition, if you're pregnant, or if anything about your health has you even a little unsure, we'd encourage you to talk with your doctor before starting a new walking routine. Felitrot isn't meant to offer medical or professional advice about your health or exercise. No one knows your body better than you and your doctor do. We simply hope you'll keep at it in a way that feels good, without ever overdoing it.
2. No need to watch the screen while you walk
The shift between brisk walking and easy walking reaches you through gentle sound and a light buzz, so there's no need to look at your screen while you're moving. Feel free to tuck your phone into a pocket or bag, keep your eyes ahead, and simply walk. If you ever do want to check the screen, please come to a stop first. Walking with your eyes on a phone can lead to unexpected mishaps, both for you and for the people nearby.
3. Stay aware of your surroundings and the rules of the road
Out on the path there's plenty to keep an eye on — cars, bikes, other people walking, curbs, crossings, and signals. Please take in what's around you and follow your local traffic rules as you go. When you're soaking up the scenery and the sounds, it's easy to let your attention drift from your feet and the road ahead. Enjoy every bit of that ease, and just be sure to keep watching out for your own safety.
4. If something feels off, it's always okay to rest
If you notice anything out of the ordinary while you walk — tightness in your chest, dizziness, heavy shortness of breath, or pain — please stop rather than carrying on. If a short rest doesn't settle it, or if you're still uneasy, we'd gently suggest checking in with your doctor. In particular, if you feel strong chest pain or tightness, severe shortness of breath, or faintness, stop right away and don't hesitate to call emergency services if needed. Calling it a day and saying "this is plenty for now" is a kind, caring choice for your body. Chopin will be right here waiting for you again tomorrow.
5. Please don't use Felitrot while driving or cycling
While you're driving a car or riding a bike, please don't reach for Felitrot or let its cues draw your attention away. Once you've arrived and you're standing somewhere safe, that's the moment to ease into your walk. Keeping your walking time and your time behind the wheel clearly apart is the most reassuring way to go.
With a little gentle care for these few things, one step at a time and always at your own pace — we hope the time you spend with Chopin becomes one of the quiet joys of your every day.
